On 7-21-20, TCSO Deputies were called to the Tipton Elementary School District for a possible vandalism to the school. 

When they arrived, Deputies learned the American and the California State Flag were cut and taken from the schools flag pole, causing approximately $500 in damage.

After reviewing surveillance footage at the school, Deputies identified several of the suspects, including 18-year-old Jose Picazo and a female juvenile out of Tipton.

Picazo was found at his home and taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office South County Detention Facility on charges of felony vandalism, theft and contributing delinquency of a minor. The female juvenile was found and taken into custody without incident. She was booked into the Tulare County Juvenile Detention Facility on charges of vandalism and theft.
