On 05/12/16 at 1350 hours, detectives from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence near the city of Lemon Cove to serve a search warrant for narcotics.

During the course of searching the residence, it was discoverd that a mother and her 10-year-old daughter were home with a loaded 12-gauge shotgun located in the bedroom in plain view where the girl was sleeping. Narcotic paraphernalia was also located unsecured in this same room. 

Parents were interviewed and admitted to knowing there was a loaded shotgun within reach of their children.
