On 01-07-2016 Deputies responded to the Sierra Self Storage Inc located at 160 block W Gibbons Ave, Porterville regarding a burglary in progress.  Upon arrival Deputies located two armed suspects who were taken into custody without incident.  The scene was included:  8 camper trailers/ toy haulers, 6 vehicles, 1 trailer, and the main office area.  Deputies detained the suspects and the scene was secured.

Detectives from the South County Investigations Unit, North County Investigations Unit, and the Forensic Investigations Unit responded to the crime scene. 

During the investigation Detectives recovered approximately $3855 in stolen property and arrested two male subjects for 16 counts of (459 PC) burglary, conspiracy (182 PC), possession of a concealed loaded firearm (25850 PC) and possession of a controlled substance (11377 HS).  The two suspects were booked at the Porterville Substation.    

During the course of the investigation it was discovered these two suspects were involved in several other burglaries throughout the County of Tulare area and the city of Porterville.  

Suspect #1:  Schwenn, Joshua Porterville area

Suspect #2:  Freeman, Thomas Porterville area
