On 7/3/2016, Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Pixley Substation conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the rural areas of Tulare County for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle, an odor of Marijuana was detected coming from within the vehicle. The driver consented to a search of the vehicle at which time approximately 8 pounds of processed Marijuana were located. Also located in the vehicle were approximately 200 individual packaged portions of concentrated Marijuana and indicia for sales.

Both occupants were taken into custody and Sheriff’s Tactical Enforcement Personnel responded to assist in the investigation. Both the driver and passenger were taken into custody without incident.
