On 6/28/18, Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 31100 block of Road 72, in Goshen, regarding a report of a verbal argument in progress. Upon arrival, Deputies discovered the verbal argument escalated to a battery against an elderly person and the damage of community property.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

Deputies located the suspect, Marcos Anthony Linares, 20, in the area and arrested him for the above listed charges. During the arrest, Deputies discovered the suspect had applied for the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Program when he was a juvenile. 

The suspect’s application to the program was processed but it was determined he did not meet the requirements for the program. 

Exploring is a worksite-based program. It is part of a career education program for young men and women who are 14 through 20 years old. Exploring is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between youth and the organizations in their communities.
