Suspect: Jerry Carrillo  MH/ 35 yrs          Visalia, Ca.  In Custody

On 07/08/16 at 0705 hours, Investigators from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit served at search warrant in the 1200 block of East Ferguson Avenue in regards to a tip that they received of a Northern gang member cultivating and selling marijuana.


The ensuing investigation determined that Jerry Carrillo, a Northern gang member and prior convicted felon, was cultivating indoor marijuana and selling the marijuana. Indicia of sales, scales, packaging materials, grow lights and other evidence were located. There were 70 matured, budding plants that were eradicated. Had the marijuana been harvested it would have yielded more than $5,000 at street value.

Several boxes of ammunition were located as well. It was also determined Carrillo had bypassed his electrical meter and was stealing electricity from Southern California Edison. A representative from SCE arrived at the location and determined in excess of $6,000 of power had been stolen. Carrillo was arrested without incident on the listed charges and was booked at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
