Detectives Find More than 10,000 Pot Plants in Coffee Canyon Illegal Grow

During the month of August 2018, Detectives from T.A.G.N.E.T. Majors conducted flyovers of the Springville area for illegal hidden marijuana grow sites. During the flyover, Detectives found several of those sites in the area off Coffee Canyon.

On August 15, T.A.G.N.E.T. Detectives, along with C.A.M.P. Task force, conducted operations to eradicate the grow sites.

While they were removing the marijuana sites, Detectives also found numerous pesticides, chemicals, a lot of trash and the diversion of natural waterways in the area. All of this has led to a destruction of public land and danger to wildlife.  Detectives also found a campsite in the area, but were unable to find any information on the suspect’s identity.

During the Operation in the Coffee Canyon area, a total of 10,200 marijuana plants were removed and destroyed.

The investigation into illegal marijuana grow sites continues. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at 559-733-6218. Or they can remain anonymous by calling TipNow at 559-725-4194.
