On 09-12-2018 at 8 a.m., Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office TAGNET (Tulare Area Gang and Narcotic Enforcement Team) and TAGNET Majors met with members from Resource Management Agency, Code Compliance Unit regarding 19 civil abatement warrants in Patterson Tract, North Visalia. This was due to several complaints from neighbors regarding the smell of marijuana and suspicious traffic throughout the neighborhoods. While assisting Resource Management Agency, Detectives observed several illegal marijuana gardens within the following locations:
32000 Blk. of Lincoln Rd., Visalia
32000 Blk. of Road 124, Visalia
12000 Blk. of Ave. 328, Visalia
32000 Blk. of Grandview Rd., Visalia
12000 Blk. of Ave. 324, Visalia
In addition to the 19 civil abatement warrants, Code Compliance Officers, with the help of Detectives from TAGNET and TAGNET Majors, made contact at a home in the 32000 block of Lincoln Rd. in Visalia about marijuana compliance issues. Residents were aware of the marijuana plants at this home and requested officers remove the marijuana and destroy it for them.
During the operation at the illegal grow sites, Detectives were able to find and remove more than 1,909 plants, which were later destroyed along with 460 lbs. of semi-processed marijuana and 100 lbs. of processed marijuana, which were all collected and destroyed. Along with the marijuana, Detectives also found 3 rifles, which were taken for Safe Keeping pending contact with the registered owners. No one was arrested.
