Detectives Return Stolen Tractor to Rightful Owner

On August 26th, Tulare County Sheriff’s Ag Crimes Detectives were contacted by the Porterville Police Department. They were told Porterville Police were in the area of Conner and Putnam in Porterville with what they believed to be a tractor reported stolen in county jurisdiction. 

Detectives responded where they met with Porterville Police and witnesses. Detectives were able to determine the tractor was reported stolen by DG Stevens Custom Farming on 5-21-18. It is worth about $10,000. Detectives also learned the tractor had apparently been dumped in this area for 3 weeks or longer. Ultimately the tractor was returned to DG Stevens. This investigation is ongoing and Detectives are following developing leads.
