On August 1st, 2018 Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff's Office Ag Crimes Investigations Unit were contacted by the Visalia Police Department in regards to an investigation they were working. VPD Detectives advised they served a search warrant at a location within County jurisdiction and found what was believed to be stolen horse tack and equipment. Sheriff's Detectives responded and took possession of the tack and logged it for safe keeping until an owner can be found.
Detectives began a follow-up investigation and obtained several potential leads as to the rightful owners of the tack.
However, after making numerous contacts, Detectives have not located anyone claiming to be the owner of the tack. Some of the tack is marked with names and/or initials. The Sheriff's Office is requesting the help of the public to find the rightful owner.
