Dog Found Tied-Up & Abandoned at Poplar Home

On 10/30/18 at 6:39 p.m., deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office’s Porterville Substation were dispatched to the 18000 block of Avenue 152 in Poplar regarding a report of animal cruelty.  Upon arrival, deputies found a black Labrador-mix canine, approximately (6) months old and (40) pounds, tied up with visible injuries to its neck.  Tulare County Animal Control responded and took custody of the dog.

The home where the dog was found is possibly vacant and deputies were unable to find its owner.  The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating the owner of the canine.
