Suspect 1: Andrea Bryant. Adult from Visalia. Arrested and booked at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility on felony charges of Elder Abuse, Death Threats toward Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Arrest, Terrorist Threats, and Vandalism.

On 04-28-18 at approximately 0657 hours, deputies from the Visalia Substation arrived at the above residence regarding an elderly male (Victim #1) being struck by his adult daughter. When deputies arrived at the residence, deputies attempted to contact and detain the female (Andrea Bryant). She refused to comply with deputies. As the initial deputy attempted to place Andrea in handcuffs, she attempted to strike the deputy. Deputy took control of Bryant. She continued to resist arrest and attempted to prevent apprehension. Bryant was placed in handcuffs and escorted to a patrol vehicle.

While escorting the suspect, she threatened deputies stating she would kill them.

Deputies continued their investigation at the victim’s residence and found she struck the elderly Victim #1 on the face and had threatened to kill elderly Victim #2. Bryant was also reported destroying a mesh screen to the security door of the residence and outside window as well as breaking an outside window in an attempt to gain entry to the residence.

Total estimated damages to the residence were approximately $210.
