SUSPECT:
S) Lino Almanza, 24 years old, Strathmore

On 5-31-18 at 1354 hours, Detectives with TAGNET (Tulare Area Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team) attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Avenue 196 and Road 230, in the town of Strathmore. The vehicle failed to stop and a short pursuit was initiated. The vehicle ultimately stopped near Balfour Drive and Lawson Drive, in Strathmore, and the front passenger fled from the vehicle.

The driver (Lino Almanza) of the vehicle was detained without further incident. Almanza is an active gang member and on active felony probation out of Tulare County. He also had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest.

During the search of the vehicle, Detectives located a loaded 45 caliber handgun, ammunition, and a Halloween Mask.
