On August 28, 2014 at approximately 3:24 PM officers were dispatched to the area of the 600 Block of North Shasta St. for a report of a disturbance involving a number of subjects. As officers were responding to the scene a vehicle arrived at the front of the Farmersville Civic Center with four occupants, two of which were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Police, Fire and EMS personnel rendered aid to the two victims who were subsequently transported to the Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment of their wounds. One victim was treated and released with minor injuries the second victim was still being treated however the wounds were believed to not be life threatening.
The victims reported that they had been in the 600 block of N. Shasta and had stopped in front of a residence when the suspect came from around the side of the residence and began shooting at them with a handgun. The victims reported that they then fled the area in their vehicle and drove to the civic center to get assistance.
Frank Vasquez DOB 09-17-1985 AKA Frankie Vasquez, Frank Navarro, Frankie Navarro, has been identified as a person of interest in this case. He has been described as a Hispanic male adult 5’10” tall with a slim build with black hair with a long ponytail and brown eyes. He has tattoos of four dots under his left eye. The subject has numerous tattoos on his body including tattoos on his neck of script writing. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and tan or khaki pants or shorts. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to call law enforcement immediately. The weapon in this case, an unknown type handgun, is still outstanding.
