On 4-8-17 at approximately 1506 hours, members of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office TAGNET Unit assisted the Sheriff’s Porterville Substation Deputies with serving arrest warrants for the suspect in the 800 block of South Crystal Street, Porterville (Patrol case #17-4204).

During the service of the arrest warrants, the suspect fled out the back of his residence through a window and a short chase ensued with the suspect being apprehended with the assistance of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit.

After the suspect was captured, TAGNET Detectives responded to the suspect’s residence. Looking through the open window the suspect fled from, they observed a firearm in plain view on a shelf.

TAGNET Detectives authored a search warrant for the residence and upon serving the search warrant, they discovered the firearm to be an actual loaded firearm. Detectives also located methamphetamine, packaging material and a scale.

The suspect was booked into the Sheriff's Porterville Substation on the above charges as well as three active misdemeanor warrants with a total bail of $130,000.
