During an ongoing three month investigation into several agriculture related thefts throughout Tulare County, Detectives form the Tulare County Sheriff’s Ag Crimes Unit in conjunction with the Tulare County Sheriff’s CATTCH Team, CHP TRATT, Deputies from Headquarters Patrol, and TAGNET located wanted suspect Manuel Leal at a residence within the 3300 block of East Tulare Avenue in Tulare.

 

Evidence from the scene led Detectives to three separate storage locations within the City of Tulare where $5,600 worth of stolen property was recovered. Victims were contacted and the property was returned.

 

Throughout the course of this investigation, more than $50,000 worth of property was recovered including a Honda Quad, ATV Trailer, satellite guidance system, Dodge Truck and a Massey-Fergusson Tractor.

 

Suspect Manuel Leal was booked on the following charges:

  1. Felony evading (two counts)
  2. Vehicle theft
  3. Receiving / Possession of stolen property (three counts)
  4. Possession of Burglary Tools
  5. Grand Theft (two counts)
  6. Burglary (three counts)
  7. Conspiracy (three counts)
  8. Inyo County Felony Warrant $100,000 bail (vehicle theft / burglary)
