On Thursday, August 9, 2018, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office received numerous tips in regards to the two armed robberies, which occurred in the Ivanhoe and Monson areas last week. Detectives managed to identify the 2014 Mazda four-door vehicle used in the robbery, which had been reported stolen on August 7, 2018 from the Visalia Area. Detectives also identified one of the suspects in the surveillance footage as a 16-year-old male from Cutler.

On the same day, Officers with the Beverly Hills Police Department initiated a traffic stop on the  2014 Mazda four-door car. The vehicle failed to stop and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The pursuit ended after the Mazda crashed and was no longer operable. No one was hurt in the chase.

Officers with the Beverly Hills Police Department arrested five male juveniles who were in the stolen car. The five juveniles detained were from Tulare County and persons of interest in both robberies. Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Unit went to Beverly Hills and continued with the investigation.

On Friday August 10, 2014, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office served four search warrants at homes in the Cutler and Orosi area, in regards to the robbery investigation. During the investigation, detectives located evidence pertaining to the robbery.

On Monday August 13, 2018, three of the juveniles were transferred to Tulare County where they were booked at the Tulare County Juvenile Detention Center on robbery charges. The remaining two juveniles are pending court cases in Los Angeles County.
