On the dates of Friday 07/01/2016 and Saturday 07/02/2016, the Gang Violence Suppression Unit and the Interagency Gang Enforcement Team conducted gang suppression activities in the unincorporated communities of Tulare County in an effort to combat gang violence with a zero tolerance for gang activities made the following arrests:
16-40082 07/01/16 1800 hours 500 Blk E. Sutter Earlimart, Ca.
Suspect # 1 Juan Carlos Medina/ 18 yrs Earlimart, Ca
On the listed date and time suspect Medina was contacted in regards to a disturbance at a local school in Earlimart. The Gang Investigators recognized the suspect as a known Northern gang member who had been previously served with the permanent Earlimart Gang Injunction and was to obey all laws and not be in the presence of other gang members. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. He was booked at the APTF on the following charges: 166(a)(9) PC Violation of a Court Order/ Gang Injunction.
16-80075 07/01/16 2010 hours Rd 128 and Ave 408, Cutler, Ca
Suspect #1 Ernesto Abarca Armentilla MH/ 19 yrs Cutler, Ca. Driver
On 07/01/16 at 2000 hours, Gang Unit Investigators noted a white Ford Pick up truck parked in the area of Eddy and Ave 406. They noted the licesne plate was listed as a stolen vehicle. Investigators from GVSU &IGET conducted surveillance on the stolen vehicle. The listed suspect, a known South Side Kings member, got in the vehicle and drove off. A traffic stop was made and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. The vehicle was recovered. The vehicle was taken on 06/30/16 from the area of 16800 block of Ave 362 in regards to a burglary investigation. The suspect was booked at the APTF on the following charges: Possession of a stolen Vehicle, Possession of stolen property.
16-90040 07/02/16 1835 hours Goshen Ave and Akers, Visalia, Ca
Suspect #1 Benjamin Paul Graham MW/ 33 yrs Visalia, Ca. Driver
Suspect #2 Ryan James Canning MW/ 29 yrs Lemon Cove, Ca. Passenger
On the listed date and time, Investigators from the Gang Unit saw the vehicle being driven by Graham displaying expired registration tags. They conducted a traffic stop for the violation. A driver’s license check revealed Graham was driving on a suspended or revoked driver’s license. Pursuant to towing the vehicle for expired registration and driving on a suspended license, an inventory search was conducted and 4 grams of methamphetamine was located in the glove compartment along with indicia for sales. The passenger, Ryan Canning, was found to be in possession of indicia for narcotic sales as well.
Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and booked at the APTF for Possession of methamphetamine for sales, Transportation of methamphetamine and conspiracy to commit narcotic sales. Canning was also booked for committing a felony while out on bail on another incident.
