On 04/11/17  at 1045  hours, Detectives from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Agriculture Crimes Unit followed an investigative lead into the theft of a Dodge utility work truck that contained tools, power tools, and impact tools valued in excess of $25,000. The vehicle was reported stolen from the City of Tulare on April 4, 2017, and belonged to a Farmer in the Tipton area. 

The Tulare County Ag Crimes Unit, Property Crimes Detectives, in conjunction with the Corcoran Police Department, Tulare County District Attorney’s Office, CHP TRATT Unit, Tulare Police Department, and Kings County Ag Crimes Unit participated in this investigation. 

Preliminary investigation revealed the suspects had been attempting to sell stolen items including tools and power tools within Tulare County and Kings County. The suspects were described as a male and a female driving a teal-colored extended cab Chevrolet truck. 

On 04/11/17 at approximately 1230 hours, the teal-colored Chevrolet truck was located within the 2000 block of Whitley in the City of Corcoran. Officers from the Corcoran Police Department attempted a traffic enforcement stop on the Chevy. After a lengthy pursuit through Kings and Tulare County,  Levi Wilson and Rebecca Gutierrez of Alpaugh were taken into custody. 


A search of the vehicle revealed stolen tools from this case which were valued at approximately $12,500. 

Additional tools valued at $12,500 were later located during a search warrant at Levi Wilson’s residence in Alpaugh. The Dodge truck was also located a short distance away from Wilson’s residence. 

Levi Wilson and Rebecca Gutierrez were booked on appropriate charges.
