On 4/14/17 at 1800 hours, Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 14200 block of Avenue 392, in Cutler, regarding a theft of a Ford 6600 tractor. The case was forwarded to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Ag Crimes Unit.
On 4/19/17, at 1500 hours, Detectives from the Ag Crimes Unit responded to the location to conduct a follow up investigation. While searching the area of the 38700 block of Road 140, Detectives located a blue tractor in an open field behind a residence. Detectives contacted subjects at the residence and obtained permission to search the field behind the residence. Detectives located the Ford 6600 tractor.
The tractor was later returned to the owner. The tractor was valued at approximately $5,500.
Detectives were advised that on April 15 at approximately 1800 hours, a male subject had parked the tractor at the residence and asked if he could leave the tractor at the residence until a family member could pick it up at a later time. Detectives were advised no one had returned for or inquired about the tractor. The Hispanic male was described as being approximately 20-22 years old, 6-feet tall, weighing approximately 230-250 pounds.
