6/8/17, 1600 hours:
Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Avenue 376 and Road 44, in Kingsburg, regarding a theft of survey equipment.
Deputies were advised at approximately 1300 hours, while the construction crews were working installing a gas pipe line on Road 44, their survey equipment stopped working. Crew members responded to the area of Avenue 376 between Road 44 and Road 40 to check on the survey equipment and noticed it missing. Deputies located a tripod with antenna equipment in the almond orchard west of the canal however were unable to locate the Base Unit. Deputies photographed and processed the equipment and scene.
6/9/17:
Detectives from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Ag Crimes Unit responded to the area and conducted interviews with harvesting crews working the area. The equipment stolen is a Trimble R8 Base Unit on a yellow tripod.
