On 11-2-17, Ag Crimes Investigators were contacted by representatives of Villapando Ag Incorporated. They advised that on the previous date, an unknown subject responded to the 1500 block of Marinette in Exeter and removed harvesting ladders from a recently harvested orchard.

Detectives responded to the scene where they learned an eye witness observed a Mitsubishi Montero arrive pulling a ladder trailer. The witness described the suspect as a Hispanic male adult as the sole occupant of the vehicle. He apparently drove up to the area where the ladders were stored and removed 13 aluminum ladders, placed them on the trailer he was pulling and fled the area.

Detectives began processing the scene and located evidence that at this time is being further analyzed. Leads are apparent and the case remains under investigation.

Loss was estimated at $2,275.
