12/18/17, 0900 Hrs

Deputies from the Pixley Substation responded to Pitigliano Farms, in the 11500 Block of Ave 120, in Tipton regarding a theft of a 2007 John Deere Gator. The JD Gator was last seen on Friday 12/15/17 at approximately 1600 Hrs. Deputies from the Pixley Substation  processed the scene for evidence.

Detectives from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department’s Ag Crimes Unit later took over the investigation and searched the area, contacting several subjects.

12/19/17, 1130 Hrs

Detectives were contacted and advised the JD Gator was possibly located behind a residence in the 600 Block of N Smith Rd.

Upon arrival, Deputies and Detectives contacted several subjects at the residence. The JD Gator was located and confirmed stolen from Pitigliano Farms. During the investigation Detectives were informed the Edward James Conlon (aka JD) was the one who brought JD Gator to the residence.

Edward Conlon who was one of the subjects contacted at the residence. Edward was interviewed and subsequently arrested for Grand Theft and Possession of Stolen Property. Edward also had two outstanding felony warrants.

Tulare County Sheriff’s Department Crime Lab Technicians responded to the residence and processed the scene and JD Gator. The Gator was later released to the owner.

Edward Conlon was transported and booked at the Porterville Substation without incident.
