On 1-16-18 at approximately 0830 hours, detectives responded to the River Island Country Club in Porterville regarding a theft. Upon arrival, detectives contacted the reporting party who advised sometime between 1-15-18 at 1400 hours and 1-16-18 at 0455 hours, unknown suspects broke into the Country Club’s maintenance yard.

The suspects took two John Deere Gators from the maintenance yard and drove them away from the area.

During the investigation the John Deere Gators were located approximately a quarter of a mile north of the Country Club in the area of Avenue 176 and Road 320. The John Deere Gators were recovered and the value of the recovery was $10,000.

This case is still under investigation.
