Deputies responded to the 800 block of  East Cleo on a theft report. Deputies contacted the victim who said on 3-15-16 at about 1300 hours an unknown male telephoned her stating he was from the IRS. The suspect stated that she owed money to the IRS and if she did not pay then they would call Law Enforcement.

She advised she had some of the money. The suspect then stated to take the money and purchase I-Tune Cards then call back with the I-Tune card’s access numbers. This caused a substantial monetary loss to the victim.

Case under investigation by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
