On 2-7-18 at approximately 2304 hours, Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to an assault with a deadly weapon case in the 13900 block of Avenue 400, in Orosi. Upon arrival, Deputies met with a Confidential Victim who reported that two male subjects forcibly entered her home, threatened her with a gun and took her cell phone before fleeing the scene. 

No injuries were reported during the incident.  

A short time later, Detectives responded to the call and discovered the primary suspect’s identity. A check of the area revealed he lived at a residence in the community of Cutler. During the investigation, surveillance of the area was conducted and the suspect was seen leaving his house. 

He was immediately contacted and arrested without incident. 

A relative of the suspect was later implicated in the crime and also arrested at the same location. A search warrant was executed and the stolen cell phone was recovered. 

The suspects were identified as Porfirio Castrejon (27 years old) and Joaquin Castrejon (26 years old).  Both suspects were transported and booked into custody at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
