On 08-07-2018 at 8 A.M., Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office TAGNET (Tulare Area Gang and Narcotic Enforcement Team) and TAGNET Majors assisted Resource Management Agency with a code enforcement abatement warrant at a home in the 13000 block of Ave. 460, Orange Cove. While assisting Resource Management Agency, Detectives observed an illegal cultivation of marijuana gardens within the property and orange orchard. They also found several illegal rifles and large-capacity magazines.
As Detectives continued to help Resource Management Agency, Diego Lua Garcia (59) was found in the home and later taken into custody for Maintaining a residence for drug use and/or sales, Cultivation of marijuana, Possession of marijuana for sales, Possession of a large-capacity magazine and Possession of an assault weapon. He was taken to Pre-Trial where he was booked and later housed.
A total of 3,000 marijuana plants, 26 lbs. of processed marijuana and 84 lbs. of dried marijuana plants were also located, eradicated and destroyed.
