On 6-30-2017, The Tulare County Sheriff's TAGNET Unit, which stands for Tulare County Sheriff's Gang and Narcotic Enforcement Team, was conducting gang suppression in the Orosi area.

Detectives with the TAGNET Unit initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speeding violation. The driver identified as Jovanni Hernandez was contacted and found to have no driver's license.

A consent search of the vehicle revealed him to have a loaded firearm inside of the vehicle. He had also been served a permanent Southern Gang Injunction for the Cutler-Orosi area, which he violated. He was booked into the Adult Pre-Trial Facility.

Arrested: Jovanni Hernandez,  21 years old, from Orange Cove

Charges: Gang member in possession of a loaded firearm & Violation of Gang Injunction.
