Suspect:  Jose Luis Garcia (33 years of age, Resident of Tulare) 

As part of a 2-month investigation, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office and the Tulare Police Department,  in conjunction with the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office, have charged Jose Luis Garcia (33 years old) with 22 counts of child molestation stemming from the sexual abuse of six victims over the past 15 years. The victims were 6-16 years old.

The suspect was initially contacted by the Tulare Police Department as a suspect in a theft of a trailer, when he was found to be in possession of several hundred images of child pornography. The subsequent investigation revealed more images, as well as evidence linking Garcia with the aforementioned crimes.

He is currently being held at the Bob Wiley Detention Facility in lieu of $165,000.
