Narrative:                      

On 05-13-2019 at 0800 hours, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department TAGNET (Tulare Area Gang and Narcotic Enforcement Team) and TAGNET Majors assisted Resource Management Agency with a code enforcement abatement warrant at a residence in the 24000 block of Ave. 88, Terra Bella.  While assisting Resource Management Agency, Detectives observed a large illegal cultivation site of marijuana gardens within the property and inside of the residence. 

 

As Detectives continued to assist Resource Management Agency, sixteen subjects were located within the residence and property and were later taken into custody for the above listed charges and transported to Pre-Trial for booking. Detectives also learned during the investigation that two of the sixteen subjects were juveniles who were also charged with the above listed charges.  During the service of the Abatement warrant, one subject attempted to flee and was later found in possession of a handgun which Detectives learned the suspect was a previous felon and the handgun was stolen.  The investigation was continued by Detectives who also learned the subjects were tapping into and stealing power for the indoor cultivation. A total of 7,219 marijuana plants were located inside the residence, 1,977 lbs. of processed marijuana were located, along with 3,763 plants were located within the property and were eradicated and destroyed.
