On 1/15/17, Tulare County Deputies from the Porterville Substation were contacted regarding a juvenile male being solicited to engage in inappropriate sexual behavior by an adult male employee and coach at Porterville High School. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Unit and Cyber Crimes Unit continued the investigation.

The suspect was determined to be David Carrasco and evidence was obtained to corroborate the victim’s statement. An operation was put in to place for 1/16/17 and the suspect was taken in to custody when he arrived to meet the victim in the Porterville area.

Investigators with the Porterville Police Department have been contacted and are assisting with the investigation. The appropriate school officials have been notified of the arrest.
