            Victim: Uriel Hernandez 21 years of age, resident of Alpaugh (Autopsy Pending)

On 8-13-16 at approximately 2315 hours, Deputies with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 5500 Block of Olive Road in Alpaugh in regards to a gunshot wound victim. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted the reporting party who told deputies a family argument lead to a fight between two family members. During the fight, the victim, Uriel Hernandez, sustained gunshot wounds to the upper torso and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The second family member involved in the fight sustained stab wounds to the torso and was airlifted to a local area hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation. The case is being investigated as a homicide and is currently on going. An autopsy is pending to determine the official cause of death.
