On 01/28/16 at approximately 0701 hours Deputies from Tulare County Sheriff’s Office-Pixley Substation responded to an apartment complex located on the 500 block of North Thompson Road, Tipton, regarding a resident who discovered a bullet inside their apartment. 

During the investigation, it was discovered a suspect negligently discharged a large caliber handgun inside an adjacent apartment, shooting the bullet through the upper portion of the shared wall.  No one was injured during the incident. 

A 7-month-old infant was inside the suspect's apartment when the handgun was discharged.  The suspect was arrested for the above mentioned charges and booked into custody at the Porterville Substation.
