On 10-04-2018 at 8 a.m., Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office TAGNET Majors (Tulare Area Gang and Narcotic Enforcement Team) met with members from Resource Management Agency, Code Compliance Unit to serve three civil abatement warrants in the 19000 block of Ave. 242, Lindsay. The warrants followed several complaints from neighbors about the smell of marijuana and suspicious traffic throughout the neighborhoods.
During the operation of eradicating the illegal grow sites that were found, Detectives were able to locate and get rid of more than 1,300 lbs. of partially processed marijuana, 32 lbs. processed marijuana and 3,251 plants, which were all collected and later destroyed.
Along with the marijuana, Detectives also found two stolen handguns at one of the homes, where unknown subjects had left the scene prior to Detectives arriving. No arrests were made during the service of the abatement warrants.
