As a part of the Sheriff's Office efficiency improvement plan, Acting Sheriff Mike Boudreaux has authorized a change in booking locations for females and north county male arrestees.  Effective March 17, 2014 all female and north county male arrestees will be booked at the Adult Pre Trial Facility instead of Bob Wiley Detention Facility and Main Jail.

Main Jail is and has been the primary male booking facility in the County since its opening in 1963.

Bob Wiley Detention Facility has been the primary female booking facility in the County since its opening in 1987.

Adult Pre Trial Facility which was opened in 1999 was designed with a high work flow booking design floor plan.  

North county agencies will no longer be required to drive the extra distance to Visalia to book male arrestees, thus improving efficiency. This change is a tiered approach to the future transition of all bookings to Adult Pre Trial Facility.

With the future opening of the South County Detention Facility (AB900) in Porterville all south county arrestees will be booked in that facility further improving the efficiency of the booking process in Tulare County.
