On 10/23/2015 Investigators with the Tulare County Gang Violence Suppression Unit along with Tulare County Probation and California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation- Special Services Unit were conducting probation and compliance checks in the Goshen area of known gang members. 

Investigators arrived in the 30600 blk of Rd 72 to conduct compliance checks at the residence. Suspects Desi Escarsega and Jessica Marquez obstructed and delayed the Investigators in the performance of their duties by blocking the Investigators access into the residence and resisting the Investigators, after a brief struggle, both suspects were taken into custody. Suspect Antonio Marquez was found hiding in a closet in the residence and refused to come out upon contact with the Investigators, he too delayed the officers and resisted arrest, after a short struggle he was taken into custody. During the compliance check the residence was found to have a large amount of processed marijuana and 23 mature marijuana plants growing in the back yard. The residence was secured and the Investigators wrote and served a search warrant at the residence. The ensuing investigation located 14.50 pounds of processed marijuana, scales and indicia indicating the sales and possession of marijuana. The processed and mature marijuana plants have an undetermined value at this time. Suspect Stephen Marquez was also taken into custody without incident on his listed charges. All the suspects were booked at the APTF on the listed charges. The suspects are known Northern Gang Members or Associates. 

The case is currently under investigation by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Gang Violence Suppression Unit and no other information is being released at this time.
