Narrative:                      

On 07-08-2017 at 2310 hours, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office TAGNET (Tulare Area Gang and Narcotic Enforcement Team) were conducting gang suppression detail in the Town of Strathmore. While in the area of Avene 196 and Road 230, Detectives observed a vehicle speeding and conducted a traffic stop.

The driver was identified as Jesus Rivera and was a documented criminal street gang member who was on active probation.

During the investigation, Detectives conducted a search of Rivera and located a pair of brass knuckles on his person. Detectives also conducted a search of the vehicle and located a loaded handgun inside.

Rivera was arrested without incident and booked at the Porterville Substation.
