On 06-10-15 Deputies from Tulare County Sheriff’s Department responded to an unrelated petty theft in the 200 blk of E. Sierra Ave., Earlimart.

Upon arrival Deputies checked the area for possible involved parties.  Deputies contacted a male subject in the parking lot of the reporting business to determine his involvement.  Upon contacting the subject he advised he was currently on active probation.  The subject identified a shopping cart he was pushing in the parking lot as belonging to him.  During a subsequent search of the shopping cart Deputies located several items later found to have been taken from a commercial burglary which had occurred earlier in the day out of the City of Delano between 0200 hrs and 0400 hrs.  Deputies took the subject into custody for violation of P.C. 496(a) (possession of stolen property) as well as an out of county warrant.  All stolen items were collectively valued at approx. $900, and were subsequently returned to the property owner.
