On 02-23-14 at 2222 Hours, Deputies with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department and Tulare County Fire Fighters responded to a residence in the 200 block of south Holcomb Street in the City of Porterville for a report of a structure fire and shots fired. Upon arrival, Deputies located the residence fully engulfed and a female suffering from severe burns. Investigators also located evidence of arson and gunshots fired into the residence. The 41-year old female was airlifted to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition with life threatening injuries. The residence was a complete loss. Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff's Department and Investigators with Tulare County Fire responded for the investigation.
