On February 28, 2019 at approximately 0545 hours Deputies from the Porterville Substation were dispatched to the area of Globe Drive and Highway 190 in Porterville for a suspicious vehicle near mailboxes.  Upon arrival, Deputies located the suspicious vehicle, which was stopped on the shoulder of Highway 190.

Deputies contacted the occupants identified as Courtney Chatten-Wallis and Stephanie Rocha. Deputies found Chatten-Wallis and Rocha in possession of stolen mail and burglary tools.  Detectives from the Property Crimes Unit were called and took over the investigation.  Detectives were able to identify victims who verified their mail had been stolen.

Detectives later arrested Chatten-Wallis and Rocha for petty theft, conspiracy, possession of stolen property, and possession of burglary tools. They were both booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Pre-Trial Facility without incident.
