Possession of a Firearm in Public/Gang Enhancement

The Tulare Area Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (T.A.G.N.E.T.) made the following notable arrests from January 25, 2017 to January 28, 2017:

 

Date: Wednesday January 25, 2017, 1445 hours

Case number: 17-80001   

Location: 41600 block of Road 130, Orosi

Victim: State of California

Suspect: John Sebastion Damian Aguilar, MH, 18 years, Orosi (known Southern Gang Member) IN CUSTODY

Charges: 25850/ 186.22 PC- Possession of a loaded firearm in a public place/ Gang enhancement

Investigators from TAGNET were conducting a follow up investigation into TCSO case #16-16148 which was a shooting at an inhabited dwelling. Investigators contacted John Aguilar, a known Southern Gang member, who was leaving the residence on foot. The investigators conducted a pat down search of Aguilar for officer safety reasons and located a loaded handgun in his front pants pocket. Aguilar was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility on the listed charges.  Aguilar is not a person of interest in the crime that was being investigated and that investigation is still ongoing.

Location: 6800 block of Harvest Road, Goshen

Victim:  White Male 16 years

Suspect:  #1) Hispanic Male 17 yrs, Goshen (known Southern Gang Member) IN CUSTODY

                 #2) Juan Olea  MH/ 20 yrs,  Farmerville, (known Southern Gang Member) IN CUSTODY

                 #3) Rafael Olea  MH/ 19 yrs, Farmersville, (known Southern Gang Member) IN CUSTODY

Charges: 245 (a)(2)/ 182/ 186.22 PC- Assault with a deadly weapon- Firearm/ Criminal conspiracy/ Gang enhancement

On August 16, 2016, at approximately 1920 hours, Deputies were dispatched to the 30900 block of Road 69 for a report of a gunshot wound victim. Deputies arrived on scene shortly after and located the victim, a Male White juvenile/ 16 years, inside a residence. He was observed to have a gunshot wound to the center of the back. The wound appeared to be from a small caliber weapon. The victim advised he was riding his bicycle with his friend and unknown subjects shot him from a passing car. The victim was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. He has since recovered from his injuries.        

Investigators from T.A.G.N.E.T. assumed the investigation; the suspect’s vehicle was located in the 16700 blockk of Teresa in Farmersville and was seized as evidence. A search warrant was written and a firearm was located in the vehicle. The ensuing investigation encompassed numerous interviews and the forensic processing of evidence over the last several months, which revealed the identity of the suspects.

The T.A.G.N.E.T. Investigators obtained arrest warrants for the listed suspects.

On January 27, 2017 at approximately 1500 hours, the suspects were located at their respective residences by T.A.G.N.E.T. Investigators and were arrested on the listed charges.

The juvenile suspect was transported and booked at the Juvenile Detention Facility and the adult suspects were booked at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility.         

 

Date: Saturday, January 27, 2017, 1500 hours

Case number: 17-80002 

Location: 6800 block of Harvest Road, Goshen

Victim:  State of California.

Suspect: Hispanic Male, 17 yrs, Goshen (known Southern Gang Member) IN CUSTODY

Charges: 29610 / 29650 / 148/ 186.22 PC- Minor in possession of a firearm/ Minor in possession of ammunition/ Resist or delay an officer in his duties/ Gang enhancement. 

On January 27, 2017, at approximatley 1500 hours, Investigators from T.A.G.N.E.T. responded to a residence in the 6800 block of Harvest Road to serve an arrest warrant on the listed suspect in regards to the above mentioned investigation. The suspect fled on foot from the investigators.

During the short foot chase he was seen throwing a handgun and the investigators caught the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The handgun was located and found to be loaded. The suspect had ammunition in his pocket which was the same as in the weapon. The suspect was transported and booked on the listed charges at the Juvenile Detention Facility.  

 

These cases are currently under investigation by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office T.A.G.N.E.T. and no other information is being released at this time.
