Possession of a loaded firearm in public, Possession of a stolen firearm, Removing the serial number from a firearm, Possession of large capacity magazine, & Possession of stolen property

Tulare County Sheriff Detectives with the Tulare Area Gang Narcotic Enforcement Team (TAGNET) conducted saturation patrol in the Terra Bella area. Detectives initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for suspected drunk driving. Investigation and a search of the vehicle revealed open alcoholic beverages and 2 loaded firearms. The only two occupants of the vehicle were detained and arrested on the following:

 

 Charges: PC 25800 Possession of a loaded firearm in public, PC 25400 Possession of a stolen firearm, PC 23900 removing the serial number from a firearm,  PC 32310 Possession of large capacity magazine, PC 496 Possession of stolen property

 

Arrested: Fernando Ambriz 36 years old from Bakersfield, Ca.

                Nicolas Ambriz  27 years old from Reedley, Ca.

 

Both were booked into the Tulare County Adult Pretrial Facility.
