On 04-25-17 at 2218 hours, Deputies conducted a suspicious vehicle check and contacted 27-year-old Marcos Martinez of Delano in the driver seat of the vehicle along with a female companion. After further investigation, Deputies discovered a loaded 9mm handgun along with a bindle of Methamphetamine concealed in the vehicle. The magazine in the handgun was observed to be a high capacity magazine. Martinez displayed symptoms and was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance while in possession of a loaded firearm.

It was also discovered that Martinez had provided false identification during our contact. Martinez was later found to have an active Misdemeanor Warrant. He was booked at the Porterville Substation for the above charges.
