On 06/21/17, at approximately 2344 hours, Deputies contacted a male adult riding a bicycle northbound on the 500 block of Plano Street in Porterville for violating CVC 21201 (d) (1).

Deputies observed the male to be under the influence of a controlled substance. As deputies conducted a pat down search, they located a loaded .380 caliber firearm in the waistband of his pants and a glass pipe known to be used for smoking methamphetamine.

Deputies secured the firearm and booked the suspect at the Porterville Substation. The suspect was booked for H&S 11550 (e)(1), PC 25400 (a)(2), and H&S 11364.
