All Charges:

Expired registration, driving without a California Driver's License, hit and run, possession of marijuana less 1 oz., possession of drug paraphernalia, transportation of narcotics, possession of meth 1 oz. or greater, resisting arrest, warrants for similar drug and driving offenses.

 

Suspect 1:  James Booher, an adult male from Exeter. He was arrested and booked at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility.

 

On 1-31-18 at 0251 hours, Deputies were patrolling in the Visalia Substation’s jurisdiction area when they observed a vehicle driving recklessly on Highway 198 with expired plates. A traffic stop was attempted but the driver elected to jump out of the vehicle and run from Deputies. 

The vehicle came to a stop after colliding with a street sign. A search for the suspect was performed by utilizing a Tulare County K-9 Deputy.  As a result, (S) James Booher was located and taken into custody.  Booher sustained minor injuries during the apprehension so he was treated by medical personal and booked at a local jail without further incident. 

During the investigation, it was learned Booher was in possession of 1 ounce of methamphetamine which had a street value of $2,280; and, 21 grams of marijuana which had a street value of $250. He was also found in possession of associated drug paraphernalia.

Upon confirmation of Booher’s identity, it was learned he had two misdemeanor warrants for similar charges.
