On 07-25-18 at approximately 1200 hours, Deputies from the Porterville Substation responded to the 600 block of East River Avenue in the attempt to locate and arrest Gloria Aragon on unrelated charges. 

Deputies arrived on scene at which time several subjects ran from the Deputies, including Aragon, to avoid law enforcement personnel.  Deputies were able to detain several subjects and upon checking open sheds on the property, Deputies located several packages of narcotics. 

Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office T.A.G.N.E.T. Majors (Tulare Area Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team) responded and executed a Narcotics Search Warrant at the residence.  While at the residence, Narcotics Detectives, along with Deputies from the Porterville Substation, conducted a search and located a little over a quarter pound of methamphetamine, 25 ounces of processed marijuana, 1.7 pounds of unprocessed marijuana, drug paraphernalia, scales, a sawed off shotgun and other items associated with narcotics sales.

Detectives also located and arrested Aragon who was found hiding from Deputies.  Detectives contacted suspect Chavez at the residence and arrested him for the above listed charges.  He was transported and booked at the Sheriff’s Porterville Substation and he was later transported to Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
