On 5/31/18 at 1200 hours, Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 37300 block of Millwood Drive, in Woodlake, regarding a possible stolen John Deer Gator. Deputies were advised the subject purchased the Gator, however was later informed the Gator was owned by Farming Company, in Visalia. Through further investigation the Deputies were advised the Gator was stolen in the area of Avenue 276 and Road 96, in Visalia.

Loss was estimated at $18,000.

Detectives from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Agricultural Crimes Unit responded and took over the investigation. The Gator was later returned to the Farming Company, in Visalia. Throughout the investigation, Detectives were able to identify several subjects involved in the incident, one of whom was identified as the suspect who was involved in the sales transaction of the Gator, as Alexander Renteria. Detectives wrote an arrest warrant for Renteria which was later granted.

 

On 6/15/18 at 1830 hours, Detectives located the suspect, Renteria, in the Tulare area. Detectives contacted and arrested him for Possession of Stolen property. Renteria was later transported to the Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
