On the above date and time, a shooting occurred in City of Farmersville in the 600 block of S. Shasta.  According to Officers from the Farmersville Police Department, suspects in a vehicle had just fired multiple rounds in a residential area consisting of occupied residences resulting in no injuries.

Investigators from the Interagency Gang Enforcement Team (IGET) responded and assumed the investigation. The ensuing investigation revealed the suspect vehicle, a black Lincoln Navigator, drove south on S. Shasta then north on S Shasta in the 600 block firing a weapon indiscriminately.  An Officer Safety broadcast was put out to the surrounding agencies in an attempt to locate the suspect vehicle.

Headquarters Deputies in the area received the vehicle description and immediately located the suspect vehicle travelling north on Rd 158 south of Ivanhoe Drive.  Upon initiating an enforcement stop, at least one occupant of the vehicle exited and fled on foot while the suspect vehicle continued toward Ivanhoe while evading the deputy.
The suspect vehicle continued north on Rd 160 and was involved in a traffic accident with an uninvolved vehicle at Rd 160 and Beechwood.  The driver of the suspect vehicle was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital where he was treated for moderate injuries and is being held for observation.  The driver of the second vehicle was also transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.  CHP responded to the scene of the accident and assumed control of that investigation.

While investigating the accident scene, additional units from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area of Rd 158 and Ivanhoe Drive to search for the suspect who fled on foot.  The Sheriff’s Air Support unit as well as members of the Sheriff’s K9 unit participated in the search.  As a result of the search, suspect Rodriguez was apprehended and unidentified items of evidence, including a firearm were located.

Suspect Rodriguez was booked at the APTF on the above listed charges and Suspect Lucatero was booked by proxy into the APTF. Both suspects are known Southern/ Sureno gang members.
