On Saturday October 6, 2018, Tulare County Sheriff Deputies responded to assist Fresno County Sheriff Deputies on a large burglary investigation located in the 53000 Block of Whitaker Forest Road, Badger. A large amount of various types of property, antique equipment, and several vehicles were determined stolen. The location was determined to be in Fresno County and Tulare County Sheriff Deputies offered our assistance in the investigation.

 

Throughout Saturday night and Sunday morning, Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriffs Agricultural Crimes Unit obtained information regarding the probable whereabouts of the said property and vehicles.

 

On Sunday October 7, 2018 at 0900 hours, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Agricultural Crimes Unit and Patrol Deputies responded to a residence located in the 22200 Block of Carson Avenue, Exeter, where numerous pieces of property and several of the stolen vehicles were located. Fresno County was advised and they sent to Detectives to assist.

 

Tulare and Fresno County Detectives ultimately responded to three different residences where three adult males were determined to have been involved in the burglary. As a result, approximately five stolen vehicles and sixty five other pieces of property were identified and recovered for a total estimated recovery value of $26,000. All recovered property was given back to the victims this day.

 

Tulare County Sheriff Agricultural Crimes Unit Detectives arrested Exeter resident Phillip Lowe, 28 years of age, for possession of stolen property. They also arrested Lemon Cove resident Nathan Reed, 24 years of age, for possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and for having committed a felony while out on bail. Both suspects were booked at the Tulare County Pre Trial Facility.
