On 08-04-17 at 0647 hours, Deputies contacted a suspicious subject later identified as Pedro Martinez at Best Truck Stop in Pixley.

Upon contact, Martinez immediately became confrontational with Deputies and began walking into the roadway towards oncoming traffic. Deputies physically detained Martinez and prevented Martinez from being struck by a vehicle. He was arrested, however during the incident, Deputies received visible injuries.
